Literacy Worksheets

I have a four year old son whom I was forced to support with learning materials to learn phonics. I had never thought children of his age group but  had always desired that he would start reading at a very early age. My goal was to ensure he starts reading at least two letter words by the time he was four. With a lot of research work and interest , I started developing resources that helped him to learn phonics. With the support of his teachers in school we were able to achieve my goal. He is now four and does not only read a two letter word but has proceeded to reading three letter words. Below is a sample of some of the materials i made use of while helping my son to master phonics in early years.

Borders and Charts

One of my passions as a teacher is designing graphics displays that enhance learning. My colleagues and I came up with this beautiful UN logo to celebrate the 2016 United Nations day. The hands placed around the UN logo represent different countries that make up the UN. I posted the picture of this display in a closed group of primary teachers of which I belong to and I remember a teacher from Pakistan asked a question “Where is Pakistan’s hand?”. I know you would probably be asking me same question if you cannot find the hand that represents your country, well I’ll just say this display is just a sample. You can come up with your own idea

Classroom Decoration is one of the things I love most as a teacher. I create and design my own unique products for my classroom displays

Check out scalloped borders and Learning Charts for decorating display boards. You can access these products on my TPT  and TES stores. Borders and charts can be downloaded and laminated for durability
